Family Friendly Games Free – Plays.org Review

Share Post:

Finding browser-based online games for children to enjoy is a difficult endeavor nowadays. A lot of them are inappropriate for children, many websites are also infested with viruses, malware, and crypto-mining malware. It’s good to always check the Google Safe Browsing site status before you or the kids start playing on so-called “free sites” because the internet is not a safe place.

To my pleasant surprise, I found Plays.org– a Free Browser-Based Online Games after a long search. It passed the Google Safe Browsing test, so I started playing, and I’m pretty sure I’ve spent more time playing than the kids have!

You can play on a computer, a tablet, or a mobile phone, as long as you have Internet access.

Plays.org’s sole purpose is to make games available to gamers around the world. In recent years, a number of gaming companies, such as Roblox, have gone public with valuations in the tens of billions of dollars.

To that end, they’ve set out to be the exact opposite of what’s currently popular.

Let me explain:

  • There are no status symbols or paid perks here.
  • Simple but enjoyable games that do not attempt to alter your identity or create addictive loops.
  • Games you can pick up and put down as you please, and many of which can be completed in a single sitting.
  • To play, there is no need to download additional software.
  • There’s no need to create an account or sign up.

Arcade, Cartoon, Education, Sports, Strategy, Retro 8-bit, Simulation and a slew of other subcategories can be found here. There are no restrictions on how often you can play.

My favorite category for my son has to be the education section, but he likes the cartoons section. for myself, I am into classic arcade games, I was and still am a fan of Tetris and they have it!

My Top Favorite Games

I have been looking for something to help my son to type on a keyboard that is fun for him to do and I found just that with the Zombie Typing Practice Game for Kids. Kids can improve their typing speed by shooting incoming zombies with words at their feet in this typing practice game. Before the zombie gets to you, type the word shown near its feet for each one. I played it too, it’s fun!

Then there is Tetra Blocks: Neon Tetris-Inspired Line Making Game which is a Tetris-inspired game where players try to make rows to score points and advance through different levels. This game has a beautiful neon design and some pieces have stars in them which can add bonus points when lines are completed.

Lastly, who doesnt love Tom and Jerry, I mean if your a 90’s kid like me you grew up on tom and Jerry, I introduced it to my son and he loves watching the old cartoons too! So when I found this Tom & Jerry Backyard Hoops Game. This is a simple basketball shooting game featuring one of animation history’s most beloved frenemy duos. Tom is shooting hoops, and Jerry is trying to stop him. As Tom, shoot as many baskets as you can.

Final Thoughts:

The Plays.org site has me hooked. With so many options, it’s hard to pick just one, and I appreciate the philosophy of “free gaming,” in which there are no in-game purchases or trials.

The site is constantly expanding. Parents will appreciate Plays.org because no credit card information is required to play the games, and a wide variety of educational games are available.

In my opinion providing free games for the sake of enjoyment rather than profit is wonderful. The internet needs more sites like Plays.org. Plays.org has a lot of potential, and I expect more people to adopt their philosophy as a result. Take a look for yourself at the Plays.org website!
