Summer is fast approaching and many of us have ditched the pizza and pasta and opted for healthier meals in preparation for the warmer season.

 

 

During the summer it gets pretty hot, and because of this we become tempted to show off some more slim than we normally would. A lot of the time though, we just aren’t content with our physical appearance and want to change the way we look. However, before you go to any extreme lengths such as fat freezing treatment for fat reduction or diet pills; let’s take a look at some easy ways to fight back at your fat this spring.

 

Hydrate


Water, water, water. It is the single most important thing we can consume and it makes up a huge portion of our body. But how can water help us lose weight? Well, your liver is responsible for breaking down fat and flushing it out of the body, and your liver requires a lot of water to do this effectively. You should be drinking over 2 litres of water every day to allow your body to function optimally. And added benefit of water is the fact that you can avoid feeling hungry during the day. Most of the time when we start to feel peckish, we are actually in need of water. The next time you feel hungry make sure to drink some water, wait for 15 minutes and if you still feel hungry, eat something.

 

 

Avoid rapid diets

 

It seems logical that in order to lose weight quickly you need to cut out everything bad in your diet and reduce your calories significantly for a few weeks. And although this is technically true in the short term, it is not a sustainable way to lose worth and keep it off. When we make huge changes to our diets, we struggle to adapt to the changes and our body craves junk food even more than before. To stop this from occurring for you, make sure you make small changes over a few weeks and give your body chance to adapt to your new habits.

 

Eat smaller meals more frequently

 

Our bodies are like a machine: we have a Furness in our core which metabolises the good we input, and in turn it creates energy for us to use for our bodily processes. Believe it or not, the best thing you can do for your body is eat small meals throughout the day. Our metabolism becomes boosted when we eat smaller amounts of food more frequently throughout the day, so it allows us to burn off more fat and lose more weight as a result.


Get moving

 

If you want to lose weight the healthy way and sustain it for a long time, you need to start doing some exercise during the week. There’s no reason why you have to go to the gym every single day of the week, you can still workout effectively in the comfort of your own home. There are many fitness channels on YouTube such as X HIIT Daily which offer workouts that you can follow in your own living room. If you can complete 30 minutes 3 times a week, you will start to see a big difference in your body.
